Learning Lessons From The Old Testament Found in the Holy Bible; For Today’s Turbulent Times!!
In this prophecy, Isaiah describes God’s Care for Israel, His Vineyard; as a Perfect Symbol of a Husbandman’s Care for His Vineyard…His Beloved Israel! Also, God’s Disappointment with Israel’s Lack of fruitfulness; and His judgement against Israel’s Lack of Obedience toward God.
Isaiah 5:25 New King James Version (NKJV)
“Therefore the anger of the Lordis aroused against His people;…”
He has stretched out His hand against them.
God Said in this prophecy; Because their Actions, He Would Place them Outside of His Hedge and Wall of Protection surrounding His Vineyard Israel.
Isaiah 5:2, 4-7 New King James Version (NKJV)
2″He dug it up and cleared out its stones,
And planted it with the choicest “vine.”
4″What more could have been done in My vineyard That I have not done in it?” Why then, when I expected it to bring forth good grapes,
Did it bring forth wild grapes?”
5 And now, please let Me tell you what I will do to My vineyard:
I will take away its “Hedge”, and it shall be burned;
And break down its “Wall”, and it shall be trampled down.
I will lay it waste;
It shall not be pruned or dug, But there shall come up briers and thorns.
I will also command the clouds That they rain no rain on it.”
For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel,
And the men of Judah are His pleasant plant.
He looked for justice, but behold, oppression;
For righteousness, but behold, a cry for help”
There is an even stronger and more public judgement implied; against the wicked and unrepentant people of God in this prophecy!!
Isaiah 1:28, 31 New King James Version (NKJV)
28 The destruction of transgressors and of sinners shall be together, And those who forsake the Lord shall be consumed….31 The strong shall be as tinder,
And the work of it as a spark; Both will burn together, And no one shall quench them.
In the Like Manner, in the New Covenant; God, the Father in Heaven; Who is Husbandman and Vine dresser of Israel in this prophecy;
Also, God the Father in Heaven, is the Vine dresser of Jesus Christ’s Vineyard, His Church the Body of Christ; for members in Christ!! Jesus Christ, Who is the Son of God; And both Lord and Savior His Church.
Now, ALL MUST COME Through Jesus “Only” for Salvation from Sin according the the Will of God, the Father God in Heaven!!
Christians Can Do NOTHING; Without The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; Who Are God’s Vineyard and Jesus’ Vineyard; as the One “TRUE” Vine!!
Also, Jesus is the Bridegroom to His Church; which is the Body of Christ and spiritual Israel!!
Jesus is the Vine in God’s Vineyard; the body of Christ; and we are the Branches.
Again, We Cannot Be Fruitful Without Jesus as The True Vine; in His Vineyard; and God Still gets His Due Glory!!
John 15:1-8 New King James Version (NKJV)
Jesus…The True Vine:
15 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples”
Love and Joy Perfected:
John 15:9-17 New King James Version (NKJV)
9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
11 “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.17 These things I command you, that you love one another”
The World’s Hatred:
John 15:18-25 New King James Version (NKJV)
18 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.21 But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me.22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.23 He who hates Me hates My Father also.24 If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father.25 But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.’”
The Compassion of Jesus For The Unsaved in the World!!!
Matthew 9:35-38 New King James Version (NKJV)
35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. 36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest”
Today, Children of God through Christ Jesus Our Lord; Should Ask The Following Questions to Themselves During These Turbulent Times!! Instead of Running, Hiding, Giving Up, or Doing Nothing!!
Today, The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; is Asking Why Are there so Few Christians NOT Working and Laboring in His Father’s and Jesus’ Vineyard; given to Him from His Father in Heaven.
For there are those Children of God; who Won’t Serve Jesus Christ; But, There will STILL, be a Small Remnant in the House of the Lord that will be Obedient and Serve Him!!
Our Perfect Bridegroom, Jesus Christ, has provided His Church with everything We Need to be Fruitful Laborers by His One True Vine; as part of His Vineyard. Just as God did and Asked in the prophecy of the Vineyard regarding the house of Israel in the Old Testament.
Why Is there So Little Good Fruit being Produce in His Vineyard; Instead, More Bad fruit, Barrenness, and Lack of Fruit; and Obedience in the Jesus’ Church???
The Same is STILL True Today under the New Covenant; as was in the Old Testament Vineyard Example; about the house of Israel.
Today, the people of God in the New Testament through Jesus Christ; Requires Fruitfulness and Righteousness from His people in the Body of Christ, which is His Church!!
For The Christian: Unrepentant Sins, which Includes; NO Fruit Producing Service Unto, The Lord Jesus; CAN REMOVE God’s Hedge and Wall of Protection surrounding His and Jesus’ Vineyard; and Allow Satan to Cause Havoc in the Life of Christians.
Matthew 7:18 New King James Version (NKJV)
18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
1 John 2:16 English Standard Version (ESV)
1 John 2:16 New King James Version (NKJV)
16 “For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world”
John 10:10 English Standard Version (ESV)
Jesus Says This About: Satan, the devil
10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly”
1 Peter 5:8 New Living Translation (NLT).
“Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour”
Some Reasons Why the Work and Service of Jesus’ Church, His Body, goes Undone.
The World Grows Darker and Darker; and the Unsaved, Yes, Even generation after generation; are dying in his or her sins. Yes, many of the Younger Generations TOO!! Many NEVER having heard about Jesus’ Salvation from Sin, the hope of Eternal Life, and Home in heaven Eternally. Forever, according to the Word of God, Written in His Holy Bible.
So,Why Are So Many Relaxed; or Idle; or Suffering from Delusions of Grandeur; or Indifferent; or Don’t Care; or Refuse to Serve Jesus; or Feel It Is Not Necessary; or Are too busy; or Some Say, “This is Why we have Missionaries in the church; or Some Say, “I Don’t Feel Like It;” or Some Say, “This is Why I give to the church;” or Some Say, “You Can’t Work Your Way Into Heaven!!”
Jesus Has Been Given ALL POWER And DOMINION Over His Church; Which is His; Body of Believers…That He Purchased with His OWN Blood!!
Ephesians 1:17,18–23 King James Version (KJV)
“…that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, 18 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might 20 that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.
22 And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all”
Jesus PURCHASED and Died for His Church; with HIS Own Blood!!
Acts 20:28 King James Version (KJV)
28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
But, We have not YET Seen All the POWER Put Under Jesus’ Feet!!
Hebrews 2:8 King James Version (KJV)
8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him”
Unity and Diversity in One Body:
1 Corinthians 12:12-14 English Standard Version (ESV)
12 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For in fact the body is not one member but many”
All Things Were Put Under Jesus’ Feet in HIS Church; At the Exception of God the Father; The Most High God in Heaven:
1 Corinthians 15:27-28 New King James Version (NKJV)
27 For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. 28 Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all”
There Will Be NO Excuse At Jesus’ Second Coming Back to Earth; Because of God Attributes Plainly Seen in the Nature and in the Earth.
Many Choose to “Suppress” “Ignore,” or “Harden his or her Heart,” towards God’s nature put in all of Us in the beginning; in the Creation of Humankind!!
The Fool Says,
There Is No God:
Psalm 14:1 English Standard Version (ESV)
“The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”
God’s Wrath on Unrighteousness
Romans 1:18-20 New King James Version (NKJV)
18 “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who “Suppress” the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse…”
Missing Out On The “Good Part”
Mary and Martha
Sitting at Jesus’ Feet and Spending Time Reading; Meditating both day and night; and Obeying His Word, the Holy Bible…Is the Good Part in Christ!!
Luke 10:38-42 New King James Version (NKJV)
Mary and Martha Worship and Serve
38 Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. 39 And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. 40 But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.”
41 And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her”
Simply Summed Up. Some members, Not All, in the Body of Christ do not know Jesus as being the “Good Part;” nor Know and Understand God’s Word, the Holy Bible thoroughly to defend it or understand it for life and godliness. Thus, they do not Read It Thus, God’s Hedge and Wall of Protection; over his or her life is removed because of sin.
Then Satan, the Devil, devours and causes Havoc in his or her life Repeatedly!!
2 Timothy 2:15 King James Version (KJV)
15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”
1 Peter 3:15 New King James Version (NKJV)
15 “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;”
Lastly, Add to Your Christian journey; More of God’s and Jesus’ Business, and Less of Other’s Peoples Business in Your Life, Mind, heart. Then the work Jesus’ Church WILL not go Undone!!
“Mind Your OWN BUSINESS!! “Be About Jesus’ BUSINESS!!”
2 Thessalonians 3:11 English Standard Version (ESV)
11 “For we hear that some among you walk in idleness, not busy at work, but busybodies”
The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins:
Matthew 25:1-13 New King James Version (NKJV)
25 “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
6 “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
11 “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’
13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming”
Matthew 25:14-30 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Parable of the Talents:
14 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them.15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.16 Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents.17 And likewise he who had received two gained two more also.18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money.19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.
20 “So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’22 He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’23 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
24 “Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed.25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’
26 “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.27 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest.28 So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.
29 ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’”
For It Is, The Lord, Savior, and King Jesus;
Who Shall Reign Forever
